Born on May 4, 1985 to Kent and Betsy Pierret in Lafayette, Louisiana, J. Ryan graduated from Teurlings Catholic High School.
He then attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in December of 2007. While at UL, J. Ryan served as an officer of the Student Association of Professional Landmen.
Following this, J. obtained the degree of Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May of 2011. While at Loyola, he served as Vice-President of the Federalist Society.
J. Ryan was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October of 2011, and is currently admitted to practice in all Louisiana State Courts. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and the New Orleans Bar Association.
